Introduction to Form Visibility
When using Mobile Cards there are many cases where a form should only be visible when the Mobile Card record meets certain criteria. For example, if the Mobile Cards are configured as Work Orders and certain Forms should only be made visible once the Work Order Status is changed to In Progress.
Form Visibility can support many other use cases where only certain Forms should be visible at a certain time.
How to Setup
After creating a Form Template and using Field Links to link the Form to the same record as the Mobile Card, Edit the Form Template.
Click the Properties button on the top left corner and then go to the Form Display Logic in Mobile Cards Tab.
Select the criteria that will drive the visibility of this Form. Only Questions that are Field Links can be selected and they must be of the following Question Types: Text, Picklist, Number or Formula that returns a Text or Number field.
Set the Visibility Criteria and Save. Once the Form Template is Published these changes will take affect.
How to Use
When a mobile user logs into the mobile app on each Mobile Card they will only see the forms that are visible based on the criteria defined on each Forms' Template.
Considerations
- Form Visibility will only work when Mobile Cards are enabled.
- Only Questions that are Field Links can be used to drive the Conditional Visibility of the Form.
- The Question that defines Form Visibility can not be edited within the Form.
