When you build Form Templates in Salesforce, you're effectively interacting with a Form Template record, section records, question records, question value records, and more, all at once. As you add content to your Form Template and the complexity of the template grows, so does the Full Form Size. Full Form Size is an attribute on the Form Template object.
The Full Form Size represents the size of the Form Template in bytes. For example, if the Full Form Size is 1,000,000, that is equal to 1 million bytes, or 1 megabyte (MB).
The Full Form Size is important to keep an eye on as you build your Form Templates. This is because the Full Form Size must be under a certain threshold in order for the template to properly function. Consider the following limitations:
- Youreka Mobile - form templates must be less than 1,500,000 in order to be available on Youreka Mobile
- Import/Export - form templates must be less than 6,000,000 in order to be imported/exported.
Full Form Size is calculated when a template status is changed to Published.
Monitoring Form Size
Aside from keeping track of Full Form Size, you can also keep a pulse on the size and complexity of your form template directly in the Youreka Form Template Builder. As you increase the amount of questions, question values, branching logic, etc. the Template Builder will provide you with warning messages if you approach limits.
Considerations for Full Form Size
- Be sure to save your form templates and temporarily publish them as you are building them to check on the Full Form Size. This will help you plan on when you may exceed the form size limits.
- If your form size is expected to exceed limits, consider breaking your single form template down into several different form templates.
