Youreka Mobile Administration
This article provides guidance for configuring the Youreka Mobile app for new implementations of Youreka. In it we will briefly describe the configurable components of the Youreka Mobile application and what is available for customization. At the bottom of the document we link to a more robust guide of how to best implement configurations of the Youreka Mobile app to ensure it performs optimally and is adopted quickly by your organization's user base.
The Mobile Admin Tab
The Mobile Admin tab centralizes configuration settings for managing the Youreka Mobile app. It allows administrators to tailor configurations to different Salesforce user profiles for a customized user experience. The below is a brief description of these properties.
General Configurable Components:
-
Form Sort Order: Defines the order of Forms within a Mobile Card, such as sorting by creation date.
-
Distance Tracking & Maps: Tracks field worker locations and displays appointments on a map. Includes options for color-coded priority markers.
-
Form Fieldset: Determines the data displayed on Form Cards, with up to five configurable fields.
- Photo Resolution: Adjusts the resolution of photos submitted through Forms. Lower resolutions speed up sync times and conserve storage, while higher resolutions provide more detail.
Mobile Card Setup
Mobile Cards organize Forms within the app for better usability and accuracy. For example, when setup it will group a list of Forms related to a record that has been defined as the Mobile Card object (i.e. WorkOrder)
Mobile Card Configurable Components:
-
Primary Object: Choose which object should be used for Mobile Cards, like Work Order or Account
-
Mobile Card Sorting: Sorts Mobile Cards cards based on specific field values, such as for Work Order it could be the ‘Status’ field.
-
Summary Fieldset: Displays key details (e.g., Subject, Account Address) on Mobile Cards.
-
Enable Check Ins: Tracks user activities, such as location check-ins, Form submissions, and time-stamped events like page turns in a Form.
-
Mobile Card Filters: Filters enhance app performance by ensuring only relevant records (Mobile Cards) are synced to a user’s device. For example, you can filter records by status or ownership to reduce data loads in the Mobile app (highly recommended).
-
Mobile New Form Button: Empowers users to create Forms in the field, either online or offline.
- Enable users to create Forms in the field by configuring labels for New Form Button
- Use dynamic parameters to relate Forms to Mobile Card records and create new linked records.
Offline Data Setup
Allows administrators to preload records to user devices for offline use, crucial for fieldwork in areas with limited connectivity. Filters ensure only necessary records are downloaded to optimize app performance.
Youreka Public Settings
These settings provide global configuration options for the Youreka Mobile app, including but not limited to:
- Default Form mobile availability duration.
- Maximum file sizes for photos and Forms.
- Session inactivity warnings.
- Sequential Form saves to avoid Salesforce governor limits.
Mobile App Branding
Administrators can customize app color schemes and add company branding via hex-color inputs.
Mobile App Translations
Supports multi-language capabilities, with default translations in Spanish, French, and German. Administrators can add custom translations using Salesforce’s Translation Workbench.
