Introduction
You can use Youreka to collect photos while in the field both on and offline. Using the Youreka Mobile App, your users can capture photos and load them to Salesforce.
Capturing Photos With Photo Questions
When a form contains an Attachment/Photo question, mobile users are given the ability to capture photos from the mobile device’s camera and attach the photos to the form.
While viewing a form in the mobile app, users can select the camera icon next to the photo question, which opens the device’s camera. After taking a photo, the image is made available to the user by selecting the photo collection icon on the right.
Your users can capture multiple photos and add markup (text, shapes and drawings) for each photo that they capture.
If the administrator has allowed, users may upload photos previously taken and stored on the device’s photo gallery.
Photos captured with this method are saved back to Salesforce as Salesforce Files (ContentDocument), and they are related to the Form and Answer records using Content Document Link records.
Capture Photos with Form-Level Photos (Legacy Mobile App only)
At any point while filling out a form on Youreka mobile, a user can access the camera and capture photos as needed. They can do this by selecting the hamburger menu in the top-left corner, and click Photos. These photos are not related to any individual question, but rather are captured on an ad hoc basis while filling out a form.
Photos captured with this method are saved back to Salesforce as Salesforce Files (ContentDocument), and they are related to the Form using a Content Document Link.
