Objective:
This article teaches you about Youreka Public Settings, which is a custom setting made available as part of the Youreka Managed Package
Before you get started:
These articles might be helpful before you read this one:
There are several places that help admins configure and adjust how Youreka behaves in their Salesforce environment. Some examples of these are the configuration of Form Cards, Mobile Cards, Offline Data, and more. With that said, Youreka offers additional configuration options through the use of Salesforce Custom Settings. When the Youreka Managed Package is installed, admins gain access to a custom setting called Youreka Public Settings. There are many settings available in here, which allow admins to further configure how Youreka works.
To access Youreka Public Settings, visit Setup -> Custom Settings -> Youreka Public Settings. See the list below to understand the purpose of item.
- Answer Creation Batch Running - This field should never be edited directly. Indicates whether the queueable form generator job is currently running. It is automatically unchecked when the job completes. See Queueable Form Generator article to learn more.
- Answer Creation Batch Size - Adjust this number to set the number of forms created per batch. The higher the number of questions per form, the lower this number should be. Consider using a value of 10 or less for extra large forms(500-1000 questions) and a value of 50 or more for forms with fewer than 100 questions. See Queueable Form Generator article to learn more.
- Bypass Pin/Biometrics - This setting is unchecked/false by default, requiring biometrics and device PIN. When the setting is checked/true, it will disable biometrics and device pin during login to the new mobile app. Visit the Mobile Authentication (New App) article to learn more.
- Create Mobile Save Logs - Enables the creation of Youreka Mobile Logs in the environment. Visit the Youreka Mobile Logs article to learn more.
- Default Auto Archive Days - Indicates the number of days after the submission of a Form that it should be Archived. Set to 0 to indicate it should never auto archive. This value is copied to the Template when creating new Templates where if can be overridden. See Archive Forms article to learn more.
- Default Auto Lock Days - Indicates the number of days after submission of a Form that it should be locked. Set to 0 to never auto-lock. This value is copied to the Template when creating new Templates where if can be overridden. See Locking Forms article to learn more.
- Default remove Mobile Avail Days - Indicates the number of days after the submission of a Form for the Template that that it will no longer be available in mobile apps. This value is copied to the Template when creating new Templates where if can be overridden. Use 0 to disable. See Remove Forms from Mobile article to learn more.
- Digital Asset Repository File Max Size (Power Beta) - For the files downloaded in the Digital Asset Repository questions, this is the max size limit of each file in MBs. When blank the default is 2MB. The max limit is 2MB. When a file size is above the specified limit it will not be downloaded or visible in the Digital Asset Repository question.
- Disable Creating Chatter Feed for Photos - We found that when syncing large numbers of photos, it can timeout due to the creation of Chatter Feed items for each photo. This setting, when set to True, will not create feed items for Photos. By default this setting will be null, meaning that it will automatically create feed items for every photos. Users can set to TRUE to disable.
- Enable New Mobile Settings - Enables the new Mobile Admin page, allowing the Mobile Profiles feature to be used. When unchecked the old Mobile Admin page will be displayed without the Mobile Profiles feature.
- Enable Quick Save Web - This controls whether or not the Quick Save button is visible for users completing forms in a browser. Click to enable.
- Enable Template Image Metadata - This controls whether or not the organization will allow template builders to use image metadata while adding Template Images to their Form Templates
- Flexible Lookup Search - Change the way lookup searches work from "starts with" to "contains." This applies on all Field Link Lookups and Field Link Lookups within Linked Sections. This does not apply on lookups for new forms.
- Form Save Delay Time - Deprecated. Use Form Save Serial instead.
- Form Save Serial - When an org has many synchronous automations(triggers, workflows, process builders, flows) that fire when forms are saved, a single mobile sync containing multiple forms can sometimes encroach on Salesforce limits. Turn this setting on to force the Youreka Mobile app to save forms sequentially rather than all at once, thereby allowing the forms to save within Salesforce limits.
- Inactivity Logout Warning Minutes - This setting defines the number of minutes of inactivity that after reached, a pop up/warning message would display before a user’s session times out. This can be used as a warning ahead of the Salesforce Profile Session Settings. For example, if the Salesforce Session Setting is set to time a user out after one hour, setting the Inactivity Logout Warning Minutes field to 55 will give the user a pop up/warning message after 55 minutes of activity, which is 5 minutes before the Salesforce Session Setting will log them out. Maximum value is 120. A blank or 0 value in this field is default, and a pop up/warning message will not be displayed.
- Max Form Size Available on Form - Maximum size for forms in MB. A 1.5 MB limit on Form Size is set by default when the field is blank. While this can be increased this will directly impact the experience when completing forms where some may not even load, Salesforce storage, and mobile performance, potentially to the point where a sync will not complete and could cause the app to become unusable. Admins are encouraged to thoroughly test if using a larger MB limit on form size, to ensure there are no issues with performance and that forms continue to display properly in mobile and web. An admin can enter any value in the setting, however Youreka will not allow forms to be larger than 2.5MB as a Max Form Size. Variables in technology being used by organizations may limit the amount by which this setting can be increased by from a performance standpoint.
- Max Logs to Keep - Determines the max number of Youreka Mobile Logs which the org will create. Visit the Youreka Mobile Logs article to learn more.
- Max Questions Available on Form - This setting allows customers to configure the Max Number of Questions available on a form. A 1000 question limit on a form is set by default. While this can be increased, the greater number of questions on a form, the longer the mobile sync will take, and the more data space will be used in Salesforce. Admins are encouraged to thoroughly test if using a larger max number of questions, to ensure there are no issues with system performance. Variables in technology being used by organizations may limit the amount by which this setting can be increased by from a performance standpoint.
- Mobile Photo Max Size - Maximum size for photos in pixels (long side). The larger the size, the more detailed the photos will be, the longer the mobile sync will take, and the more data space will be used in Salesforce. The default is 750.
- Number of Days to Keep Logs - If using Youreka Mobile Logs, you can indicate the number of days to keep these logs here. Longer time periods can be helpful but also use data storage. The default is 30.
- Photo Metadata Chunk Size - When syncing photos from the mobile app to Salesforce, this is how many photo metadata are sent in each chunk during a sync. Leave empty to send all photo metadata in one chunk (faster). Consider setting this number (the lower the number the slower the sync, but the less processing required at one time) if you intend to capture lots of photos (dozens or hundreds) of photos per sync and find that your syncs are encroaching on Salesforce processing limits. See Syncing Photos Best Practices article to learn more.
- Run Youreka Triggers Synchronously - Youreka-created triggers run asynchronously to update answers in forms to speed up saving. If this is causing problems in your flows, you can check this checkbox to have them run synchronously.
-
Save E-Sig as JPG - Mark as true to enable the creation of a .jpg file of any E-signatures in your forms. This is to facilitate embedding e-signatures into 3rd part PDF solutions.
The ContentVersionID of the Jpg file is stored in the corresponding answer's E-Sig Image ID field. To used this in a S-Docs pdf, use the E-Sig Image Link field instead. - Suppress Error Emails - When checked no error emails will be sent.
- Template Cache Enabled - Allows the organization to leverage Platform Caching to enhance the performance of the Youreka Mobile App. Click here to learn more
- Template Cache Lifespan - The amount of time that a cached template is available for an end user. Click here to learn more.
- Template Image Fields - A comma separated list of fields to be displayed when leveraging Template Image Search.
- Use Classic Answer Creation - Classic answer creation uses insert and update for answers to field link questions. If you have custom code that depends on that sequence, check this checkbox. Leave it unchecked for faster form creation.
- Whitelist FL Objects - A comma separated list of objects that the organization wishes to use with Field Links. This is to be used for Standard objects that are not officially supported by the Youreka product.
- Whitelist LS Objects - A comma separated list of objects that the organization wishes to use in Linked Sections. This is to be used for Standard objects that are not officially supported by the Youreka product.
