Objective
After reading this article, You will understand how to bring values from another application into a field on a Youreka form.
Before you get started
This article might be helpful before you read further:
Inbound deep linking allows the template builder to pre-populate or pass answers, through the use of a hyperlink, from an exterior app to a field on a Youreka form. This allows valuable information from any data source to be seen by the end user filling out the form.
This is accomplished by defining a mapping on each form template to indicate which link parameter values will populate which fields on a form. The end user of the form will see these pre-populated answers in the deep linked field which will make their job easier, allow them to verify and take actions based on already known data.
Setting up Inbound Deeplinks
To configure an inbound deep link first publish your form template. Select the gear menu to the far right of the published template and choose the option named Inbound Deeplink Data.
This is where the template builder can specify the different parameters for the inbound deeplink. This includes defining a Parameter Name, setting the Parameter Value to Inbound Deeplink Updates and choosing the question from the form template that will be linked to that parameter name.
The final step is creating a link in the external application where the inbound deeplink originates. When triggered this will send out the pertinent data, create a form and pre-populate it with the inbound deeplink information to the appropriate question fields.
